Questions and Discussion from Caregivers

Q: If assisted living maybe isn't the best choice for mom with Parkinson's, what next?

Now we are paying for Assisted Living while my mom is in a separate rehab facility (BIG sigh). Will she be safer at home with more 24/7 oversight? I moved in temporarily this summer and it was really tough. Are there some other options I should consider? Resources I'm not familiar with?

Q: Mom needs help remembering things. She can no longer write things down. No electronics are possible. Any suggestions?

She has a caregiver daily for 4 hours. She lives in her own house. No family live near her.

Q: Where can me and my wife find some advice taking care of her father who has dementia? We are stuck in a situation and our hands are tied.

My mother in-law says she is working with the lawyer to get things in place for FIL when it's time for nursing care but we think she may just be saying that and not doing anything since he is with us. Out of sight, out of mind?
