Join Amy Goodman as she moderates an online panel with Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and representatives from three Muslim communities that have suffered Islamophobic attacks:

- Imam Gamal Fouda, Masjid Al Noor, Christchurch, NZ. A lone gunman carried out two mass shootings at the Al Noor Mosque and at the Linwood Islamic Centre, in Christchurch, New Zealand, during Friday Prayer on March 15, 2019. The attacker killed 51 people and injured 40.

- Nusaiba Al-Azem, second vice-chair of the London Muslim Mosque, London, Ontario. On June 6, 2021, a 20-year-old white man drove a pickup truck into a Muslim family not far from the mosque, killing four members of the Afzaal family and seriously injuring a fifth, nine-year-old Fayez.

- Imam Mohamed Omar, executive director of Dar al Farooq, a mosque and community center in Bloomington, MN. On August 5, 2017, at about 5:00 a.m. local time, an improvised explosive device detonated near the mosque, damaging an imam’s office and sending smoke throughout the building. No one was hurt in the explosion.

The panel is part of a full-day conference hosted by CAIR-MN. Ticket ($20) gives you access to the entire conference, including this panel discussion.
